It's great that you find it useful !   Your feedback is very important for
us.
Regarding mapping service - yes, there is difference between cloudmade and
osm. Cloudmade have it's own tiles, and it have style editor:
http://developers.cloudmade.com/projects/show/style-editor
So you can create your own map style!
