Hei
Yes I know. But I think they have similar parts??
And they both have problems after closing UI.

Hi Hannu,
The Qt_for_Maemo_Location_Example doesnt use Qt
Mobility at all. Do you have any examples of
the crash that use the Qt Mobility Location API?
Cheers,
Dave

Hei
I changed my program to use native Maemo liblocation . Gps works nicely now.
When testing sample
Qt_for_Maemo_Location_Example, this seemed to
have left something hanging after UI was gone,
at least with debugger. All parts was not stopped and deleted.
Hope this helps?
The crash below happens after all UI has gone
away and my app says "All cleaned!" in qDebug .Sounds very similar.

Hi,
Do you have a minimal test case that I could
attach to the bug report (ie a small complete
application which reliably / semi-reliably
crashes)? A test case based on the previous
code that crashed all the time would be even
more useful if calling stopUpdates() more than
startUpdates() is causing crashes thats a very
serious bug that wed like to solve as soon as possible.
Both would be best, but Id be grateful for
whatever you can put together that doesnt take up too much of your time.
That would make both confirming and fixing the bug much easier.
Thanks,
Dave

Hei
I call stopUpdates and startUpdates just once now.
Program crashes after last return? and does not crash everytime.
I am using mobility 1.0.2

Hi,
From a look over the Maemo 5 Location code
theres a chance theres a bug if you call
stopUpdates more times than you call
startUpdates. If youre calling stopUpdates
without startUpdates or are calling stopUpdates
more often than startUpdates in general, please
let me know itll help us focus our search
for the problem. If thats the case and if
changing the code to make balanced calls to
startUpdates and stopUpdates stops the crash then the bug will be confirmed.
If thats not the case, which version of Qt
Mobility is the program using? If youre not
using the Qt Mobility from the git repository
could you try that (
http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-mobility/qt-mobility,
master branch). If it still crashes after that let me know.
Ill file a bug based on the information you
provide and make sure we get someone working on it as quickly as we can.
Thanks,
Dave

Hei
In Maemo the location library crashes after shutting down:
0 ??
c:/nokiaqtsdk/maemo/4.6.2/sysroots/fremantle-arm-sysroot-10.2010.19-1-slim/usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0
0 0x412e3cb4
1 ??
c:/nokiaqtsdk/maemo/4.6.2/sysroots/fremantle-arm-sysroot-10.2010.19-1-slim/usr/lib/libQtLocation.so.1
0 0x4001382c
As far as I understand, I have deleted and
stopped all activity before deleting the object:
m_position_source->stopUpdates();
delete
m_position_source; What else should I do?
