Hi Jason, Which timezone are you in? I would like to have a call with you to hear your proposal.

Overall, Qt's handling of meta data is quite sad. It is on their roadmap, but only insofar as images are concerned. I need a troll's ear as a sounding board as to my proposal on how to fix it. I don't know which of the mailing lists is an appropriate place for such a discussion. I just got done with working with meta-data heavy images so I have a good approach, one which will impact more than media in Qt. . ----- Original Message ---- From: Alan Ezust <alan.ez...@gmail.com> To: andrew.den-ex...@nokia.com Cc: qt-mobility-feedback@trolltech.com Sent: Tue, November 30, 2010 11:35:59 AM Subject: Re: [Qt-mobility-feedback] demos/player on windows with mp3 files - id3 metadata? Installing the Windows Media Format SDK version 11 made no difference when running the player example from mobility 1.1 I have the same problem with Phonon. Which means if I want to write a cross-platform metadata loader that works with MP3s on windows, I can't use Phonon or Multimedia. That's nuts. I wish someone would test this particular configuration on windows some day. I can't be the only person who is trying to do it.
