Does anyone know how to interpret IDispatch error #22?
I am exploring the robustness of Phonon, as my app depends on it. The above will be generated if I rename a .wav file to .mp3. This is a deliberately perverse situation just to understand system behaviour when things go wrong -- roughly equivalent to a corrupt file. By the way, many apps will open the file and do the right things anyway.
My environment is XP, and MSVC 2005, and the backend is DirectX. The docs imply that MediaObject::errorString() fetches the string from the backend, so I presume the error text is coming from DirectX. So far have not been able to find useful documentation.
So any clues? I'd sure like to be able to display errors with a little better specificity than "Fatal Error of Unknown cause. Better luck next time."
