Qt 4.3.4 and Qt 4.4-rc1 qtmotifextension-2.5-commercial Hi, We have been porting our system to the combination Qt 4.3.4/qtmotifextension-2.5-commercial successfully. We have a system combined of of Qt main widget with menues, toolbars and dialogs - with a motif-based canvas as centralwidget wrapped into a qtmotifwidget. Event dispatcing are done using the QtMotif event dispatcher. We even have some old dmotif ialogs wrapped in qtmotifwidget. Shortly, we will advance to use Qt4.4 - due to some of the new functionality it offers. We have been testing our system with all the distibuted versions of Qt4.4. On all the former Qt4.4 distributions the system just crashes after reporting a lot of X errors. On the Qt 4.4-rc1 the system doesn't crash - but it just don't work very well. The motif based canvas/centralwidget is used to paint several layers of maps and dynamic targets/objects. With Qt 4.4-rc1 it is just a gray background with no maps or targets. It looks like no paint events are dispatched to the canvas. We neither get any mouseevents to the dialogs that we show - except for the old motif-base dialogs - these get mouse-events - strange. We are planning to get rid of all motif-based widgets, but this is no option currently - we need to get this to work with the motif widgets. Are you planning to support a new version of the qtmotifextension that works with Qt4.4 shortly? Do you have any pathces/advices on how we can proceed to make this work?
