FYI - to determine root cause I attempted to build the current stable release 4.4.3 using MinGW gcc 4.3.0. This was unsuccessful.
For reasons unrelated to Qt we have a requirement for gcc 4.3. Will version 4.5.0 be compliant with gcc 4.3?
