Hi.
I have been happily using regular checkouts from the 4.6 repository since
early October but lately the repository has become more unstable than usual.
Before I go into further details: The system used is Gentoo x64_64 (~amd64)
with kernel 2.6.31.5, gcc 4.4.2, binutils 2.20 and xorg-server 1.7.1.
1] kmail 4.3.3 systray stopped working correctly
Issue: When kmail is minimized to the systray, left clicking on it "hangs"
for minutes before kmail appears- if it appears at all that is.
During that "hang time", the systray icon does not respond to
anything at all.
Right click actions are not affected, they work as expected, if the
icon is in a non-hanging state.
Last known version to work:
A qt:4.6 checkout from the early hours (0730 CET) of Oct 27th.
First version w/ regression:
After doing several recompiles, I downgraded to a tree with
the commit hash "5b4b6b2be7b901ef9a29c37431998034730fa3d3" to avoid
recompiling all of my installed qt apps again due to recent ABI
breakages. That tree already had the regression.
2] krunner 4.3.3 crashing
Issue: Entering a term in krunner will result in a wrong layouted
suggestion list and a subsequent crash.
Last known version to work:
All qt:4.6 checkouts before Nov 7th.
First version w/ regression:
A qt:4.6 checkout from the afternoon of Nov 7th (1600cet).
I am very sorry I could not properly git bisect both issues but I needed my
system to work again asap. If there is anything I can do to help, please let
me know.
