I forgot to mention that when I uninstalled
qt-creator-win-opensource-qml-4.6-rc1.exe &
qt-sdk-win-opensource-2009.05-rc1.exe it didn't uninstall the prefetch
either!

Which ever troll it was that looks after the qtappwrapper.exe prefetch
please be aware that this component wrapper clobbers quite a few
released components. All releases even ones that were previously working
like Qt v4.5.3 were affected by HeapFree errors (probably because this
was a debug build so I then had multiple heap managers). It took me far
too long to get to the bottom of this, what a waste of time!
Anyone care to enlighten me what this wrapper is for?
So that other Qt Windows developers don't fall for this one, I could
have got this from either: -
qt-creator-win-opensource-qml-4.6-rc1.exe
OR
qt-sdk-win-opensource-2009.05-rc1.exe
I suspect it was the Qt Declarative QML pre release as no one else has
reported this so far on this list. Lucky me.

Subject: Is anyone else getting heap corruptions in Qt4.6.0 beta1 & rc1
on multi cores?
I'm trying to move a Qt OpenGL project from Qt 4.5 to Qt 4.6. This
project builds & runs on both Qt 4.5 & 4.6 under Windows XP SP3 without
problems on a single core.
However on a dual core (Dell E-Series laptop) with Window XP SP3 it
works using MinGW 3.4.2 & MinGW-TDM2 4.4.1, but when I build it using
VS2005 (& VS2010 Beta2) it suspends repeatedly on startup due to Heap
corruption errors.
The same project appears to build fine on all 4.5.x releases. As far as
I can be certain there are no double deletes performed in my code. I've
tried downloading the Qt4.6 rc1 binaries installer & that does the same
thing. I've tried building it from source locally using vs2005 & that
does the same thing
I've also discovered that with the 4.6.0 rc1 vs2008 pre-built package on
the dual core PC, many of the OpenGL examples crash as does the
qtdemo.exe. Are there any known issues with OpenGL under msvc on multi
core or is this just a very broken system? If so are there any
suggestions anyone can give me as to what could be causing this.
