Hi,

On the Qt Roadmap - Active Research Projects I saw "Qt 3D portabiliity
API" listed, and I immediately thought of OpenSceneGraph (OSG)
http://www.openscenegraph.org/projects/osg (LGPL)

This 3D scenegraph supports OpenGL 1.x, 2.x, 3.x ES 1.1, and ES 2.0. And
it is truly cross-plaform: Windows, OSX, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, HP-UX
and more.

I am on the osg-users mailing list, and there are obviously many user,
both commersial, academic and open-source, that are using OSG and Qt
together to create powerful applications.

OSG already provides some integration examples (e.g. QOsgWidget and
osgQtBrowers) and new but limited osgQt library to help integration.

I wonder if the reseach project for 3D portability API has OSG on its
radar? And/or if it would be of interest to Qt to contribute to stronger
and better Qt integration in OSG?

Best regards,
John
