Тема: Ответ: [Qt5-feedback] QMimeType in Qt5

Seems KDE class doesn't provide any special functionality that is not present
in Creator's MimeType class (except for icons). Most methods can be written as
wrappers over QMimeType.
Anyway, thank you for link i'll look kde implementation later.

Hi,

KDE has a class that provides those feature and more: KMimeType [1]

The goal of KDE is also to modularize their libraries in a way that can make
them included in Qt or used by Qt developer.
In any case, if there is a QMimeType in Qt, it must provide the feature that
the KDE one provides in order to be able
to deprecate the KDE one, to avoid duplication in Qt and KDE

I forked MimeType class from Qt Creator at gitorious
(https://gitorious.org/qmime) and now i'm working on full support of
freedesktop.org<http://freedesktop.org/> mimetype specification.
I think it is a good idea to include QMimeType class in QtCore in Qt5.

Ivan.
