The reason why we are not nut using any IPC in Creator is simply  because so 
far it wasn't really required. Nowadays you can create your own plugins (which 
we don't even guarantee BC for) or call to the shell for external tools. That 
already gets us extremely far. IPC would mandate at least some stable 
interfaces, which we are not ready to commit to, given that nobody has ever 
asked for IPC (afaik). We want  to stay on the pragmatic side here.
