Hi, Improvements to QDateTime in Qt5 is something else we in KDE are very interested in. The primary motivation from a KDE view is so we don't have to keep our own date/time classes which cause us interop problems with pure-Qt apps and libraries. From a Qt perspective it's bringing support up to localization standards compliance on the various platforms to meet the needs of end users, and supporting the requirements of the Qt Mobiity Organizer module.
I've documented the issues on the QtCS wiki at: http://developer.qt.nokia.com/groups/qt_contributors_summit/wiki/QDateTime We might be covering some of this in the Localization session, but it has been suggested that a PIM session might be a good idea to allow the Qt Mobility and KDEPIM guys to meet and discuss common issues, especially Time Zones. If people are interested I can sort out a suitible slot. If you can't make QtCS feel free to discuss any of the points raised here. Cheers! John. _______________________________________________ Qt5-feedback mailing list [email protected] http://lists.qt.nokia.com/mailman/listinfo/qt5-feedback
