Hi, Judging from this comment by Herb Sutter:
http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/BUILD/BUILD2011/TOOL-532T#c634517976543836549 It seems that WinRT can be consumed by means of the WRL template library, which would make it possible to develop Metro applications using Qt. The important thing to notice here is apparently those non-standard C++/CX extensions can be avoided completely. Maybe even QML could replace XAML, more or less like I proposed here: http://www.elpauer.org/?p=660 It's still very early, though. I installed the Windows8 + Developer tools preview in a virtual machine and player with it for maybe 30 min, and it looks like native C++ projects are not possible in that Visual Studio 2010 Preview :-?
