That executable worked well for me. Which version of Qt does this
support? I currently have the Qt 4.8.1 installed. Is the QtCreator
cognizant of the Ada compiler, ada setup? If one cannot use QtCreator
as is then it is going to make wanting to use Ada in this environment a
challenge.

Can you please check that assistant.exe is in C:\QtSDK\QtCreator\bin
directory?
PS. You can try to use AdaRE package which includes GNAT/GPS and
Qt/QtAda; it doesn't require any specific step to configure itself. It
can be downloaded:
