Before posting I tried using the default line from the Qtile documentation and I got the same result, seconds are frozen as well if I include them in the format string. I am duel booting with windows and arch linux but I have taken the necessary steps and it works correctly in openbox/with other time tools qtile is the only thing that has problems.
