I'm not sure if this is a bug or maybe I am not doing it correctly. This is
long winded a bit

Everything seems to work okay, I get a wallpaper (as you will see in my
config) using he built in screen function in qtile. I cannot seem to get
picom to run though. i decided to try
https://github.com/Daniel1404/Qtile-Config method of the autostart. use the
hook then add the link to picom. here are my files:

qtile:

location .config/qtile/config.py -> https://pastebin.com/EAJSUuDv

.config/qtile/autostart.py -> https://pastebin.com/AU48WCkw

picom:

.config/picom/picom.comf -> https://pastebin.com/D1GyJaKC

I've not edited the picom.comf file, it's still default. I know something
is wrong somewhere with the autostart though based on the fact (outside of
a subtle change such as i moved the qtile bar to the top and when i log in,
i just have an error now). If I remove the reference hook to the auto start
(that last little bit of the config.py) qtile works great just how i want
it to work. I've officially went through all of DTs youtube videos, the
arcolinux videos for this and now i've tried several other configs on their
methods on autostarting. This seems to be the block i was having the last
couple days on getting everything up. I've made it this far but i'm
officially out of resources from what i can tell lol.

Long story short, I've tried just using the default autostart.sh you guys
provide in the documentation and the python good in the QTile config (as
you will see in the pastebins), the "bar" shows err! Config. However,
looking through MANY dotfiles for qtile, it seems mine and the
documentation and theirs all match exactly as far as I can see. Hopefully
this made sense. I'm struggling here and at a block.

thank you.
