I tried to build the GUI component of Quackle (called Quacker) on
Windows this evening, but it failed. I Jason uses Linux, so he probably
hasn't tried to build it on Windows himself. It probably means that a
Windows version of Quackle may be a while yet.

I don't know enough about C++, and even less about C++ on Windows, so
I'm not sure why the build failed. It may be because Quacker code
compiles under GCC 4, but not under GCC 3, which is what MinGW ships
with, and is what is recommended by Trolltech for building Qt
applications.
Jason: have you tried building your code using GCC 3, or have you always
used GCC 4 for it? Perhaps knowing that may help in narrowing down the
set of possible problems.
I haven't yet tried to build the Quackle library itself, because I first
need to install Python and Scons.
