I tested it on Linux just now and legal opening plays (both vertical
and horizontal) are allowed without a warning. Unfortunately it
doesn't give a warning for 8-row or H-column plays which miss the
star. Also if you make a legal play like QI 8h, then pick it up and
make QI 7h, that is accepted without warning. The board's emptiness
variable isn't getting reset. I'm sure this is all trivial to fix,
but I have to run to Scrabble club right now so I'll have to look at
it when I get back.
