Here's what I think quackle needs in list of
importance.

1: Endgame solver / pre-endgame solver
2: Windows compatibility
3: Easy way to configure board to sim/find moves
4: faster sim
5: More efficient strong player
6: Directed sims (i.e. what % does op bingo after this
play, what % does up get 40+ points on the triple you
opened, allow to give knowledge of op's rack. this
can start off small and grow as time goes on)
7: Better strong player (knows how to deal with racks
where straight sims don't give the right answer, I
believe I've already emailed Jason/John about this,
along with possible algorithms)
8: Choice for op (choose whether comp plays like
gibson or like trey, and what difficulty level)

Here are things you might want to implement in order
I'd like to see them:

1: Background simmer (sims while you're thinking,
stores the results, and displays them at the end of
the game when you review)
2: Snapshot review (after game Quackle tells you what
the key mistakes were)
3: Randomly generated puzzles/ esp endgame puzzles (I
might be able to come up with algorithms to help with
this)
4: Hint mode (optional on each game, before you commit
to a play and miss the star play, Quackle tells you to
'look harder' or gives more pointed hints like 'you
can bingo' or 'look for hooks')
5: missed play tracker (quackle keeps a log of what
words you miss most often. This log can be uploaded
to an online repository

As always, if I can help on any of these let me know.
But being that my actual knowledge of computers gets
ridiculed daily, my help would probably only be good
in coming up with algorithms and such.

Oh, and fix the bug where when you enter a one tile
play you don't have to specify direction...
