Hello Quackle team. I have joined the email group,
and looked around the Quackle site

1) Is there actually a Windows-XP version I can get? I would
   like to try it.

2) In an AI course I took a long time ago, I learned about
heuristic searches and an A* algorithm, and wrote a program
using the A* algorithm. I think it succeeded in solving
the 15 puzzle (where you slide the first 15 integers around
printed on square tiles in a 4x4 grid). Also another
one that solved who shot JR (it was a dog, who whipped
the bullet around with his tail! the AI figured that out!)

Therefore maybe I could help with the endgame. I would
have to figure out how to compile it on windows XP though,
and I have not done C for a while, so it would be a stretch.

It would have alpha-beta pruning perhaps, which is what
you've already put into it I'd think. Simulating could
have pruning added, by the way.

However I do seem to have some free time, at least til I get
   hired by someone.

3) Failing that, I could contribute to documentation. I noticed
the sourceforge site has a feature request to add descriptions
of the features, etc. I could contribute to that some. I
   like to write at least.
