I know this has come up before, but here's a real-life example of why it would be so nice to be able to type whole positions onto the Quackle board.

Nathan Benedict posted an endgame to cgp that I'd like to look at. Because it somehow got mangled in going through cgp, it's unreadable, but I could probably figure it out if I could start typing in the position, editing as I went.

All the best,

Jim Kramer

P.S. Revisiting WEBWEBV, 64,000+ 6-ply iterations give WEB 8G only a 1-point edge over x7, so Quackle's evaluation of BEVW is probably pretty accurate after all. I'm not sure why Maven likes WEB so much more. The only relevant difference I can think of is that Quackle probably makes better first plays than Maven, but that should actually help WEB in the Quackle sim. So this remains (to me, anyway) a mystery.
