ok, i tried without the angle brackets, it worked.

doh!

i had bitched:

so i am playing quackle on my mac G4 powerpc os collins wordlist

22 tiles unseen: : ? A B CC DD EEEEE G I LL N O RR S U

MY RACK: EIIINOR

i exchage <iio>

quackle promptly displays my next rack: EIIINOR deja vu.

as i was saying "what the fuck..." quackle quietly bingos BACONER.

now, how is this possible? upon my exchange, wasn't quackle supposed
to give me 3 tiles that were in the pool of those 22 MINUS B A C O N
E R minus IIO?

there was only one O in that pool that quackle displayed as tiles
unseen to me at the time of my exchange. that SHOULD have been the
one it used to play BACONER.

in case you were wondering, there WERE 6 Os on the board when i
exchanged, and quackle's tracking was correct.

BACONER was a natural: no blank.

please check your code to see if the exchange process erroneously
allows you to draw tiles that you are throwing in.

thank you!
