In the above example, Quackle (0.95) is unable to see
the higher scoring play @ 3A. It can only see the
bonus (which wins by 1 point).

If the blank on the final rack is exchanged for an S
(to avoid it overlooking a superior play due to a
bonus), Quackle will always lose this game, and it's
endgame strategy AI is flawed. In this situation,
Quackle's valuation is –48 for the winning play
(favouring plays such as [EMAIL PROTECTED] that lose
instantly). Even a few moves deep, Quackle is blind
to the fact that playing GATHS GOTHS OATHS or other
variants that open a HAJ outplay will lose.

To rub salt into the wound, Quackle also mis-analyses
the endgame for the leftover OU?. (it suggests sOU m9
19)

Final score 508-497, Quackle's best attempt 498-497

Quackle's inability to do such simple analysis casts
doubt on it's veracity and reliability at other stages
of play: one major point of note is that Quackle
continually fails to generate enough moves due to the
immovable score-leave ranking filter. The inference
may be drawn that Quackle is both inconsistent and an
imperfect player:this invalidates any meaningful
statistical analysis: an analogy would be the classic
Three-Body problem in physics: there are too many
unknowns to know with certainty what causes the
uncertainty. (not to be confused with Heisenberg
Uncertainty)
