Let me hazard a guess before the real experts chime in. Simulation implies random selections of moves. Because both DIChOTIC and DICrOTIC set up a triple-triple line, every so often that line will be used. If the number of games being simulated is fairly small, a single triple-triple can influence the average by a large amount. In your case, you must have ended up with several big triple-triples ending up in the sim for one word, and few or none for the other. So, I've started using Quackle to sim my games all at once, and it's awesome!! I just quickly enter all the plays and racks, and then "ask championship player for report", and wait about 10 minutes. It's extremely instructive (and humbling, btw)... Sometimes, though, the report includes a result that doesn't make any sense, so I'm wondering what the process is for generating this report.
