Been there repeatedly, done that repeatedly, Edgy and Feisty,
Ubuntu and Kubuntu and Ubuntu again. No luck.

I'd at least like to know how to get the necessary packages
to compile. I used to be fairly adept at Unix, a decade or
two ago, but no longer, and Linux isn't exactly 4.3bsd, and
tools like "make" (which I never understood completely) have
been enhanced or superceded. I've had a less-rusty friend
try to get the whole shebang to compile under Ubuntu: still
no luck. I have to go to my Windows machine, which is on
only because I'm running [EMAIL PROTECTED] on its graphics card,
in order to use Quackle at all: not a huge sacrifice but a
right nuisance.

A Debian package or the like would be great, but even some
tips on how to get the thing to compile under Ubuntu would
be far better than nothing.
