Is there any easy way to use the canned Debian package, made for the
i386 architecture, on my amd64 Ubuntu machines?

Yes, I know that this is properly a Debian/Ubuntu problem, and I'll
keep looking on-line for how-to information, but so far I have found
nothing useful, nor anywhere to find anything useful.

I suppose that in a pinch I should just scrap the 64-bit Ubuntu and
go with i386, but I want to run multiprocessor [EMAIL PROTECTED] clients
on my machines and I can't do that with i386.

(I could not get the Quackle source to compile either. Yes, I'm
an old SunOs admin guy, but that was 15 years ago, and I've forgotten
what I knew.)

Many thanks.

Mark.
