Jason, O'Laugh and all--

Three happenings in my early AM Quackle play against the 20-second
version set to Collins:

1. Off an O at c6 beginning a bingo on Quackle's last play I could play LOAMY
or ANOMY at b2 for the same 48 points. My other tile was an A, The Quackle
valuation for ANOMY, leaving AL was .1 better than LOAMY leaving AN. I would
prefer the AN, and also the two consecutive vowels of LOAMYwhich might hinder
play on the A column. Am I wrong?

2. The 20-second version does not seem to value a Q-stick. With the rack
AEORRTW, Quackle could have blocked my only place for a Q with TWAT and gone
out with ROE, adding it to PE for a total of 27 points (and there may have been
a better place for EOR, but I didn't look). Instead, it made a play for 12
points elsewhere leaving ETW, and went out with PEW and WET for a total of 32,
Quackle could not have won the game with an y plays. Does that make a
difference?

3. Placing just a J at E11 or D12, making two 2-letter words, Quackle scored
41 points instead of the expected 36. I checked the board configuration, which
was OK. I don't understand this at all. I haven't checked Quackle's scoring
in the past, or noticed any difference when I counted the score before playing,
but I'm gonna start watching it!
