Great idea. I couldn't get the pre-compiled Quackle to work under 64-bit Linux (Hardy Heron, 8.04), so this machine is running 32-bit (not merely for Quackle, but for a few other canned applications that I can't figure how to compile: it's been over a decade since I did any serious work using Unix or any relative). With Quackle in the repositories, things would be easier. Mark. gooley at gator dot net
