May I revive a slightly heavyweight alternative to enhancing the .gcg.

I think what we really want to do is establish a "crossword games" DTD for XML 
to allow for more exhaustive event documentation.  A good start would be "Chess 
GML".  From there, a translator to .gcg would be a trivial matter.

Of course, a choice of representation is somewhat arbitrary but I believe that 
XML would leave the door open a little wider for some kind of web-based viewer 
which would allow for collaborative commenting on games.
