Since mid-February.....I started eating according to the Paleo lifestyle.  I
turned 50 in Feb. and gotta tell ya, I have as much, if not more, energy as I
did when I was 20!  Not to mention, I've lost some belly fat, face is thinner,
BP goes alot faster

I began by cutting out bread, rice, pasta, chips, grains, white potatoes,
beans,
etc. But, there's a wealth  of info/recipes on the internet.  If you have a fav
recipe/food, just google paleo followed by your fav food/recipe.  If you're on
facebbook, look for the page 'Just Eat Real Food'.  I bought a book, and below
is a list of most foods allowed on Paleo.

Snacks
Throughout the day, ou should snack as frequently as possible -- at least ever
2-3 hours. Focus focus on a mix of both protein and carbs for each snack.
Protein will help keep you from getting hungry and carbs will help avoid
fatigue. Eating frequently speeds up metabolism.

Subject: [QUAD-L] diet HELP

I've read quite a few posts/emails about dieting as a quad & thinking I've been
doing it wrong all these years by trying to focus on fat grams & ignoring carb
intake. Yet as I read on low-carb diet/lifestyle I'm confused as all hell as
what to not eat, like the majority of my food such as whole wheat bread,
instant
maple-brown sugar oatmeal, raspberry yogurt, apple sauce, graham-crackers,
etc..
WHAT CAN I EAT? I'm beginning to understand why I've gained weight over the
years & I can't even look at my stomach in the mirror! I need detailed advice
from others w/this problem please.
I'm a c-4-5-6 [c-4(left) c-5-6 (right)] since 1986
