Thanx Billy...To me humor is what saves me. It gets me through from day to day...i mean if ya cant laugh at sitting in a puddle of your own urine ..what can you laugh at?...i don't take anything serious and I really do think that's what keeps me young. I can tell that many here on the list are quite a bit the same.
I have to admit that moments of seriousness do come out of nowhere and take me by suprize. I mentioned that hawkeye was my idol..because he dealt with a horrible situation with humor..but being human his anguish came out in different ways...and it will do that. We just gotta make sure we dont go crazy like he did!
Take your bicycle wreck...if you look at that right ..it's funny. It's funny because how could ones luck possibly be so bad that a simple bicycle wreck puts him in a chair. I laugh at stuff like that because the alternative sucks and it won't change anything.
I just talked to someone from the list on the messenger...and i really don't see anything to laugh about with that paticular accident...in fact it angers me a little..but justice is being served!
...gotta go aides here..dry clothes yay!

Welcome to the list. The circumstances surrounding your injury are definitely one of the more unique ways of being injured I have heard about, not to mention humorous. I applaud your sense of humor. I often have to repeat my explanation over and over. I was hurt in a bicycle accident. "Motorcycle"? No, a simple bicycle accident. "Did a car hit you"? No, I simply flipped my bicycle by myself, it was my fault. It does get rather aggravating after while, constantly having to repeat the same thing over and over again. I have even tried with the explanation "I flipped over the top of my bicycle while negotiating a turn." I get similar questions. People will seem to realize how easy it is to injure oneself and how frail the human body actually is.
I'm also 40, but can't lie about it too much anymore. Over the last year my hair has began turning gray at the temples. Although it aggregates me, the women closer to my age seem to like it that much more. I don't really get into the teenybopper is anymore. 30-50, that's more my speed.
