Actually, I have been driving for many years (since 1979). I bought a van
off ebay that is already equipped with reduced effort everything. It just has
the wrong grip. The fellow I bought it from was a c-5 and had a different
apparatus attached, but I don't know what it was. Thanks. Larry

Subject: [QUAD-L] Hand controls your own. I wish you well, but suggest that you be evaluated by your state's certified driving rehab specialist before you hit the road. This specialist will test you on several kinds of hand controls to determine what it will take for you to drive safely on the road... with others. I always thought that Wells-Einburg used the motorcycle grips for functioning para drivers. I'm thinking and guessing, not knowing your personal strengths or weaknesses, that the push/pull controls are better and a quad "fork" spin control. I hope that you reconsider the driving issue before you hit the streets of North America.... (or else call me before you hit the roads.... so that I can find a hiding place, lol) Best Wishes W In a message dated 7/30/04 8:21:17 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: << I have a question for my fellow quads who drive. I have a monarch control which is made like a motorcycle grip. Obviously, I can't grip it. What kind of wrist support do you guys use that allows you to push down the accelerator? I have a wall hook from Walmart fastened to mine. Not very pretty, but it works, sorta. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Larry Willis >> |
