Wouldn't it be true that if soldiers were killing innocent people (for the record, it's on the record this happened in Vietnam), that some of those soldiers would continue to defend their honor? If I had been directed to do this (as our soldiers were in Iraq) I would certainly struggle with admitting my role in the torture, killing etc...
The truth is, I have no idea what it's like to have to defend this country with the use of deadly force. I can't speak for those who do, BUT Kerry can.
