Hi Stuntman,
If they are passing through Southern Oklahoma they might want to check out the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. A a herd of about 300 Texas longhorn cattle are kept wild, sharing the region with elk, deer, and buffalo. Open range allows the animals to wander through your camp, but they are not tame. At night you will probably hear coyotes howl and owls hoot, and you may be visited by the resident population of overly friendly raccoons.
On your way out make a stop at the The Meers Store & Restaurant in Meers, OK. The Oklahoma Geological Survey installed a seismograph in the Meers Store to monitor the Meers Fault. The Meers Store became "MEO - Meers Observatory" and has proven to be one of the most sensitive stations in the country.
The Meers Seismograph has recorded earthquakes in the Indian Ocean, more than 10,300 miles from Meers. Russian nuclear tests, a mine collapse in Michigan, and a natural gas explosion in Brenham, Texas.
Two great places to visit for a feel of the real .
With Love,

I don't care much for trophy hunters. They give hunting a bad image.
Over in Custer State Park SD they have an annual buffalo auction to
cull the herd. Culling keeps the herd down to a managable size (the
park's habitat can only support so many of them). Some buyers take the
animals back to their ranches where they are building their own herds.
I wanted to buy one and make use of all of it. I was even going to make
a medicine cap and buffalo robe, along with other implements made from
the bones. It would have supplied over a years worth of meat. We are
talking about some very healthy lean meat. If anybody passes through
Rapid City SD stop in at the "Firehouse" for the best buffalo burger
around, and their on premises micro-brewery produces some great beer to
add to the eating enjoyment.
