Actually, I have questions about
binders also. I've been using a large white elastic one with a strip of
Velcro for the past year, and now I just tried a thoracic binder that doesn't
seem to help very much in supporting the shoulders as it is intended, since the
strap simply slide down my shoulders, so it gets very
uncomfortable.
An aide told me they worked with
another client that had some type of larger binder with clips on it in addition to
/or in place of Velcro, that provided very good support. Does
anyone have suggestions? Brand names or product model names that you are using
and have found successful would be helpful.
Thank you!

-----Original Message-----My problem with binders is the velcro wears out so fast. Anyone know of a binder that doesn't use velcro?

I have been having similar problems with the new binders I am getting from the VA. currently I am using my older binders, which don't provide all the support I really need, but they are better than the new ones. I am probably going to have to look for another brand. As soon as I have more information about the brand I am using, I will e-mail you.
