Nicki,
I'm so sorry to hear of your problems with your Grandfather and then your
Mom. Now your legs are bothering you can't be easy to bear. You are
in my prayers and I hope that things start looking up for you.

I'VE BEEN ON A WATER PILL FOR
ABOUT 19 MONTHS. I TAKE 2 POTASSIUM ALSO. DR CHANGED ME TO 80 MG
OF LASIK JULY 8. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO HELP. IN FACT SOMETHING IS
CAUSING MY URINE TO HAVE A LOT OF SEDIMENT IN IT - SO MUCH THAT IT HAS STOPPED
UP MY CATHETER 3 WEEKS IN A ROW. MAYBE THE EXTRA URINE AND
FLUID.
THE P/T CAME THIS MORNING AND SAID HE WOULD
HAVE DR ORDER ELEVATING LEG RESTS. I'M SITTING ON AN OLD CUSHION TODAY
BECAUSE URINE LEAKED ON MY ROHO AS SOON AS I GOT UP BUT HE'S GOING TO CHECK IT
NEXT WEEK TO MAKE SURE AIR IS RIGHT AND SEE IF MY FOOTRESTS ARE SET
CORRECTLY.
IN THE MEAN TIME MY GRANDFATHER IS DYING WITH
LUNG CANCER AND MY MOM TORE THE CARTLIDGE THAT CONNECTS RIBS TO STERNUM.
THIS ADDED TO MY PROBLEMS MAKES FOR A GREAT DAY - NOT.
THANKS FOR LISTENING.
NICKI

When I had swelling many years ago, my rehab doctor put me on a water
pill (presently hydrochlorothiazide) and to compensate I take potassium
twice-daily by prescription. They have to run blood work every six
weeks because of the medication. I don't know if that will help at
all. Just my two cents. Dana (C 4-5, 30 years post-,
