I think that we should also be able to import "Green Cheese" from the moon,
but I don't think that will happen in the near future.
You have to consider that wheelchairs differ from user to user and are
manufactured in many shapes and sizes. Currently, airlines allow extra time to load
chair users before others are allow to board. That time would double/triple
in time if everyones chair was allowed on the plane. Who would be responsible
for damage to the plane or to a wheelchair from trying to navigate down the
aisle of a multimillion dollar jet.
Even Chris Reeve must transfer from his chair when flying.
I don't see that happening in the next few centuries, my friend. But who
knows, one can only wish..
