Chair Flying in the USA has gotten much better in the last 12-13 years. I
know, I see.
Everyday, hundreds of disAbled people in chairs fly across the skies of the
USA and actually enjoy it. Are there problems ? Yes, but that is the nature
of traveling. Most problems are do it ignorance... on both sides. Those who
fly on a regular basis due to employment know the routine. Be prepared, arrive
early and pack properly. Those who still arrive at the airport 25 minutes
before departure and expect their luggage and chair to be waiting for them when
they arrive are in for a surprise.
Washington D C airport is full of government employees flying out to all
parts of the USA as part of their job. Many of them are wheelchair users.
The business traveler is big too with many in chairs who must carry their
laptops with them as they fly. It not all that bad. The good reports, far
outweigh the nightmares. So get on the internet and book early for those best
prices airline tickets and enjoy your flight !

<< This is why road trips rock .... I flew 4 times since been in the chair and

it sucked big time-every-time.........the last they asked me If I couldn't

just get-up and move accross.

I then proceeded to educate them there ancestors and future kids while

tossing all my fluffy toys ......... they became pale and silent
