Jesus was a personal liberal (he shared everything he had), but politically he was a libertarian.  Consider that he NEVER ONCE invoked the use of governmental coercion to force anybody to change their ways.  Instead, he simply appealed to a sense of conscience.

Read the 66 books of the bible again in context, Dave.  It doesn't condemn ANYBODY, and neither did Jesus (except for the instances where he addressed self-righteous religious leaders whose noses were so high they couldn't smell the stench of their own BS).  Remember, Hitler also claimed to follow Jesus, and he waved a cross around like it was salvation on a stick.

Then read the U.S. Constitution and ask yourself...  Does George W. really support smaller government, or is he just blowing smoke up our derrieres?

as a matter of fact, the bible condems the tax man and whores - no taxes, no giveaway programs.   the dems are usually in favor of doing your own personal thing - like selling your body.   dave
