What about massage, accupressure/puncture, cold packs. Anything to encourage blood circulation and arterial stimulation?

Hi Nicki,
I guess you'll be spending time with your feet and legs up to lose the excess fluid. I hope they find something to help your legs.

Hi Nicki,
When they massage your legs what do they say about clots? I
know they can cause problems and was just wondering.

Hi Nichole,
I'm sorry to hear your legs are so swollen. I know
you've probably heard all of this before, but "You
should see a doctor to determine the cause of leg
swelling. If both legs are swollen, your doctor will ask
about other symptoms and do a physical examination. A
urine test will show if you are losing protein from the
kidneys. Blood tests, a chest X-ray

and an electrocardiogram (EKG)

also may be ordered."

There is some useful info on Edema at that Site so check
it out! Get better ASAP!

HI EVERYONE
I GOT MY PROFORE WRAPS OFF MY LEGS WEDNESDAY. MY
FEET WERE SWOLLEN BUT MY LEGS WERE MUCH BETTER OTHER
THAN RED AND BLUISH/PURPLE SPLOTCHES ON THEM. YESTERDAY MY FEET WERE SWOLLEN SO MUCH AFTER BEING
UP 3.5 HOURS I HAD TO TAKE THEM OUT OF MY SANDALS. P/T IS SUPPOSE TO COME TOMORROW AND MEASURE MY LEGS
FOR COMPRESSION HOSE WHICH HAVE TO BE ORDERED.
THEY LOOKED GOOD THIS MORNING BUT AFTER BEING UP 30
MINUTES FLUID BEGAN LEAKING OUT OF MY LOWER LEGS. NOW AFTER BEING UP 11.5 HRS MY FEET AND LEGS ARE AS
BIG AS THEY WERE 2.5 WEEKS AGO. I'M TO THE POINT OF TEARS. I'VE INCREASED PROTEIN,
STARTED A MULTI-VITAMIN, 2 VIT C'S A DAY, RECLINE IN
MY CHAIR. I'VE BEEN HEALTHY AS A HORSE FOR THE 6
YEARS SINCE MY INJURY.
HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS EDEMA WITH LEAKING FLUID? IF SO PLEASE RESPOND AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOUR
DIAGNOSIS WAS AND IF THERE WAS FIX FOR IT.
THANKS
NICKI
