> Actually .. think about it. It can be, or IS for A-theists. We have all these products that do what God does and usually more! One example ... Bayer will help a headache more or faster than prayer or when God gets around to ya. He still hasn't gotten to the billions of sickly starving innocents after centuries of hideous circumstances. > > Lori
Hi Lori, In my opinion it would seem that most of mankind created God in their own image, this does not bind him to THEIR beliefs. The "ALL POWERFULL" "OMNIPOTENT" etc are mankinds descriptions. I doubt the Creator suffers from some form of inferiority complex that would have him desiring people to worship him. God has left mankind in charge. He didn't make starving people produce more babies. It is written "God helps those who help themselves" Like a parent, you give them the basic tools to make it on their own. Once Christ came to Earth, we have been left to our own devices. Pollution was made by man, most birth defects etc can be traced to chromozone damage, or chemical influences which were chosen by mankind. To expect an artist to come back everytime somebody screws up his work with graffiti is unrealistic. Of course I admit, this is merely my thoughts on the subject. I've found nothing wrong with Christ's teachings, ex: "Love (treat) thy neighbor as thyself" If the concept of universal love (as in family) is a bad ideology, then maybe you could explain why? I don't know how many mistakes have been made by those keeping records, translating concepts wrong etc, and for these reasons I don't believe in "organized religion". I have more questions than answers. But I do believe in something bigger than all this short life. Personal experience has left me knowing death is not the end. I feel like this life, like the one before it, is just a stage of learning. Not preaching, just sharing the LOVE... Stuntman It's not the fall that hurts.
