it's interesting to hear all the remedies - a lot of which i've tried and some of which even worked for a while.  it seems most natural things work for a while and then seem to stop working.  the prescription stuff i'm on now "lactulose" appears to be working - maybe i'm just too impatient for these things.  i make a little splash every day - i really don't eat that much so i guess everything is accounted for.  i'm leary of trying anything too strong as i work at a large company 5 days a week and their johns aren't very easy for me to use.  my own john is tough enough.  accidents, i don't really need ...  this stuff is pretty gassy so at bedtime i'm pretty bloated.  i do a few sips each morning and have results in about 24 hours - i'm a morning guy.  so, the quest continues...

There are a number of plants and herbs that will bring on a bowel movement
these days.  You have to be careful that you ingest only the right amount. Not
enough and you won't experience the desired results.  Too much and your social
life will be disrepair from having to spend so much time on the toilet.
Always be careful of products that offer a mild or laxative effect.  You
don't want something that will irritate the bowel or its linings.
One of those products is CASCARA SAGRADA.
