I have no idea! My server is a local one that I have been using since I started email back in the late 80's (?). I got a message saying they were putting in a new spam program and thats all I know.
Geez, made me remember back when I first started on a small green screen and just email in a line from the top of the screen to the bottom where the "options" were like 'delete', 'reply' and a few others I cannot remember! My modem was 400 speed! I don't remember how I got on the local server--someone must have known how to and did it for me. I had gotton a list address from a newsletter I was getting, then added another list from that one. A few years later I got a new screen and thought I had gone to heaven! Then I went thru a stage of having incompetent people "try" to upgrade my machine. I finally turned to a friend of a friend and have been using him ever since! He is blind and does a little bit of outside work, but does a bunch of stuff with his own stuff! He saved me from putting money into a pit! That was when win95 came out. When I got that and a whole different machine, I thought I was in heaven again, had "color"! Then I joined the local servers internet service--cost $100 a year and had to be paid all at once. It has gone up to $125 now. Last Christmas I got an E machine and love it! And now I have a scanner/copier/printer combo. I know I will never use it to its copacity, but can send pictures now. How have some of you got started in the "computer world!"? Dana and ? I had to block 2 emails the other day, but that has been it! I was getting ready to change my email addy, but now I don't need to! take care, Dana and ?
