I went back and read Bush's remarks when he made his decision since it was 3 years ago and I did not remember his exact words. He did seek advice from scientists, scholars, bioethicists, religious leaders, doctors, researchers and members of Congress. It didn't seem arrogant to me. At least Bush has believes unlike Kerry who believes change depending on whom he is talking to.
