I believe that its common knowledge that when the guard (weekend warriors) 
are deployed to Iraq, they take with them their peace time equipment which is 
not plated for actual combat.  The enlisted soldier deployed in Iraq is 
generally assigned with equipment that is armor plated.  Often both groups are doing 
the same job, receiving different pay scales and subjected to the same certain 
death in performing their assignments.  This story as we have both read will 
continue to be spun, and spun to protect the military.  I could be wrong, but I 
also understand that these  NG soldiers will be offered general discharges as 
punishment.  Only time will tell.
