Not long. It shows up right away on the laptop image ... almost an x-ray of your pelvis using coloration (similar to showing hot and cold on tv medical shows by showing hot and cold spots on human anatomy). Blues & greens - little to no pressure. Yellow-->orange--->red are hot spots (more pressure).
I could lean forward or tilt back and see changes too. Or he pushed his finger down on it to show it turn yellow or darker. I tried my chair and 2 cushions. Results show up immediately.
I CAN'T move all day so what it shows is fairly accurate. Still clueless on a cushion choice. Rohos do not work for me! I thought I liked the VARILITE which I've been trying out since Friday but not entirely comfy. I know... many choices.
