Creating Jobs isn't part of the President's job description. For those of you who blame
President Bush for the economy being bad and Jobs going to other countries maybe
you should take a look in the mirror and in your neighborhood to see the real
people responsible. The American consumers and companies wanting huge profits
are the people responsible for the economy and jobs more than the
President. What do we look for when we
purchase something? Do we look for American made
products? Do we buy from locally owned
companies? Do we look for the best
price? Do we look for the best
quality? We have had several locally owned
manufacturing companies close their doors here because they had to cut their
expenses. Why did they need to cut their
expenses? Because American
stores Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target and others would not buy their products
because they were too expensive. They had to move their companies to other
countries where they could hire people for lower wages so their product was
cheap enough to sell in American stores. Is this because American
consumers want the cheapest prices? Or because American stores want
more profit? When Sam Walton was still running
Wal-Mart they advertised and were proud to sell American made products. These
days you have a difficult time finding a product that is made in America being
sold in American stores. A lot of stores in American are actually owned or
partially owned by foreign investors. So even if they sell American made
products part of your money could be going to other countries. Of the last 10 products you
purchased How many were MADE IN
AMERICA? How many were purchased in
AMERICAN OWNED STORES? I admit I have bought foreign
products in the past but have been trying and plan to continue to support
American companies as much as possible in the future. |
