Wouldn't "look like" ... even if it did.  That's another problem of its own.  We heard for weeks it would come down to Florida or Ohio.  So what we really would find out is:
          "Was it OH or FL"  or whichever states it is that year.

Maybe it always was that way .... we just hear it quicker now.

If they just make the poll close at the same time across the country, 6pm in Hawaii/11pm in the East, then all the votes would be counted at the same time and it wouldn't look like 1 state decided for the rest.
