SHOOT THE F*ING PHOTOGRAPER !

The media has no business being "embeded" with the troops. Imagine if today's media were around in WWII. D-Day would have been lost, and we all would be speaking German.

As a veteran with combat experience, I can tell you that you are not trained to think, you are trained to react to threats. BTW This Marine's reaction to a perceived threat was heightened by his previous experience. I wonder if the reporter would have been as quick to publize the film if the so called victim was booby trapped.

YOU CANNOT REGULATE "RULES OF ENGAGEMENT" THROUGH THE MEDIA. Personally, I wouldn't mind us turning one of these cities into glass, maybe the message would stick.

Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do!

Agreed,
What seems to be missing is there have been Terrorists pretending to be
wounded or giving up under a white flag, who have blown themselves up
or shot our troops.
When your enemy does this there is no room for error, if they move
after being told not to...
I wonder why this is considered worse than beheadings of civilians?

This story that came out today about shooting an unarmed terrorist is
exactly why the media needs to stay out of the way and let our
military take
care of itself.
Reporting this news to the Iraqi's and Americans only fuel the fire
with the
Iraqi's.
This man should be held accountable for his actions but kept out of
the
media it does more harm than good in my opinion.

On another note calling this a cowardly act is probably right but
coming
from people that are using car bombs and killing innocent bystanders
like
women and children especially with no regrets is just insane.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. military said Tuesday it is investigating the
videotaped fatal shooting of a wounded man by a U.S. Marine in a
mosque in
Fallujah. Iraqis condemned the act as "cowardice" and "something
forbidden
in Islam."
