Hi Gale,
I hope your next 22 years bring health and happiness. Best of luck with your colostomy surgery. Take your time and hurry back!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans and the belated Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians,First and foremost I would like to welcome all the new members to the list. I have been spending a lot of time in bed lately and haven't been greeting the newcomers. My name is Gale See and I am a 65-year-old male C4 quadriplegic. I was 22 years post-injury on November 18, 2004 at 9:45 a.m. I was injured in an automobile accident. Some of you in the list know me, the new people don't so that's my history in a nutshell.I have had many problems over the years with my bowels and I am finally, (hopefully fingers crossed) going to rectify that, as I'm going into hospital on January 4, 2005 to have a colostomy. My doctors figure that this will resolve my bowel problems, and also eliminate a lot of my skin problems. I have been battling sores of my buttocks for over five years now. I am also having a suprapubic catheter put in at the same time. Hopefully this will eliminate some of the bladder problems I've been having. I will be signing off on January 3, 2005 and will sign back on after everything is finished.I hope you all have a great day a great week and a great holiday season.Gale :-)
